DRAFT WORKING PAPER - TRANSSHIPMENT
The year 2020 has been declared “Year of the Blue Economy” by the Prime Minister of Pakistan. As a precursor to implementation of the Prime Minister’s vision for Blue Economy the Ministry of Maritime Affairs recently launched a revised shipping policy in the backdrop of Pakistan’s annual freight charges of USD five (05) billion annually for all foreign trade.
